Women's Ministry 201 - Step 1

Developing a Ministry Mission & Vision

We all believe that, as individuals, we are unique: There is not another person in the world "just like" you. So, it shouldn't surprise you that your women's ministry will be unique as well.

Every church has a particular calling in this world. I've been in churches whose sanctuaries were built for major dramatic productions -- because that was their main ministry. Other churches focus on acoustics and sound systems, because music is an integral part of what God has them doing. Yet other churches have HUGE education wings with children spilling out of every room.

In order for God to fully bless and grow your church women's ministry group, you must understand and align your goals with the direction and focus of your own church.

Thus, before beginning to work on your WM Mission and Vision statements, ask the pastor for a meeting during which he can share his heart and vision for the church. Use his vision as the "fuel"; then ask God to ignite a fire in your heart for what He wants to accomplish through your WM group.

Learning to write mission and vision statements isn't necessarily hard, but then neither is learning to ride a bicycle. It just takes a little bit of instruction, practice and willingness to get back up when you fall.

My recommendation is that you write a "personal" mission and vision statement for your own life before you attempt to lead your team toward the composition of your WM statements.

Many gals have made ground-breaking progress toward understanding their own unique calling in life by participating in my clearly defined approach to creating a personal vision and mission statement BEFORE attempting to do it with and for a group. This is totally a win/win approach to leadership: Allow God to develop you first, and then yield yourself fully as a vessel for Him to use as He develops those in your sphere of influence.

The online training is free and available to you HERE. It is reasonable to expect that you could have a rough draft of your own personal vision and mission statement within 90 minutes.

Women's Ministry 101 - Step 1

Congratulations! I know enough about starting Women's Ministries to delight with you in the adventure you have been on with God to bring you to this point. So much has happened in your life, and God has been teaching you lessons through every challenge and trial--even if you think they were useless. God has been preparing you for this next step. He knows you are excited and practically scared to death!

On every tour, there is a guide. And it has been my great honor (and the shock of my life) that God has entrusted me to mentor so many women as they learn how to start a women's ministry in their church. I have spent equal time coaching new WM leaders and providing critical care counsel to those who have inherited a failing WM.

My goal is that you succeed from day one. Success, as a Christian, always means, "Doing it God's way."

Your journey will be unique to you - but there are guidelines and principles that will serve as a road map, and help you avoid unnecessary stress.

Your first step is to read the FREE eBook: Starting a Women’s Ministry from Scratch. There are loads of books available out there, but this one condenses the basics down into a one-hour read. It's a 48-page ministry guide which provides a starting point - a brief overview of a complex subject.

"Truly a God-send! I am starting a women's ministry from scratch and I got great ideas from you. You encouraged me to stop thinking in a box. I got so fired up when reading! Now I know how to get started. You lifted me up to know that I am on the right track. God bless you!"

Tracy Shadbolt of Swan Hill, Australia...
"Remember me?!!! Ages ago I received your eBook which has encouraged me in my journey to establish the Womens Ministry in our church here in Swan Hill. Australia. I have got the survey out... and have been fascinated with the results. I am praying earnestly about the team God wants to get things moving and He is faithfully raising up women all around. I am so excited!!! So thank you for your encouragement."
